If you have any queries regarding your day at any point during the application process, please discuss them with a member of the special days team. It is their job to ensure your day is everything you desire and more - but they won't know unless you tell them. Just call 01707 259777.
Who meets the cost of my special day?
Regardless of your financial circumstances the Willow Foundation will meet the costs of all arrangements it has made for your special day for you, your responsible companion and children (if included). Any additional costs that may be incurred will be your responsibility but will be discussed and agreed with you beforehand - details of all financial arrangements will be clarified in your final letter.
I will need medical assistance/equipment on my day - who should I inform?
Any special needs will be discussed with your medical professional. Any medical personnel, specialised transport and/or equipment necessary on your special day will be organised in conjunction with your medical professional. Details of all the arrangements will be confirmed in your letter.
What if the Foundation can't fulfil my special day request?
Every effort will be made to fulfil your special day request. However, if not possible, you will be informed and asked to choose a second choice of day.
What if I have to cancel?
The Foundation is aware that conditions of serious illness may be unpredictable and cancellation of some special days is inevitable. This is not a problem - a day can be rearranged for an alternative date or, if necessary, a new idea for your special day can be organised. Please contact the Willow Foundation as soon as possible to inform of any cancellations.
How quickly can the Foundation organise my special day?
In most cases the Willow Foundation requires a minimum period of eight weeks' notice to organise your special day.
The Foundation is aware that sometimes special day applications need to be treated with urgency. We will endeavour to organise your day to fit around your schedule of treatment and to cater to the nature of your medical condition. This will be discussed with your referring medical professional.
